How Do You Play UK National Lottery Online?
The UK National Lottery follows a simple 6/59 number format meaning that lottery players must pick 6 numbers from a possible 59. There is no extra number set from which to pick so the UK Lottery is thus a relatively easy lottery to play and win.
To win the UK National lottery a player must match his 6 chosen numbers to all 6 numbers drawn from the lottery machine. A further bonus ball is also drawn creating an additional prize tier to reward lottery players who have matched both the bonus ball and 5 numbers.
Please note: You do not choose the bonus ball. It is an additional ball that is chosen automatically during the draw process.
UK National Lottery drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 21:00 BST. The UK Lotto draw is broadcast live on BBC One.

If the numbers on your UK Lottery ticket match all six main numbers, you are the winner of the UK National Lottery jackpot! If your numbers form a partial match you could still be a winner. There are an additional 5 secondary prizes in every UK Lottery draw.
UK National Lottery has a starting jackpot worth £2,000,000 and a jackpot cap at no more than 5 rollovers. If no one matches all the winning numbers in the 5th draw, a 'Must be Won' draw will be held where the jackpot prize will be divided among all the winners. 'Must be Won' jackpots will ultimately increase the size of everyone's prize.
